Review: Anastasia Beverly Hills DIPBROW Pomade

Reviews

This item has been on my wish list for a while now, I’ve been reading reviews, watching demo’s and putting some serious thought into it. I’m a cheap brow pencil set with eyeshadow type of girl, some days I don’t even do my brows…but after countless videos and rave reviews, I finally found myself in Sephora looking for this product.

From the Anastasia Beverly Hills Website:
“Waterproof brow color ideal for sculpting, defining, and carving perfectly precise brows that won’t fade. Smudge-free, creamy formula glides on skin and adheres to hair. Must-have for oily skin and humid climates. Tighten cap to prevent drying.”

Everything claimed above is absolutely true. This is just a fantastic product, its a creamy gel- mousse type product that glides on with almost no effort at all. It does set, and is just about bulletproof, but you still get plenty of time to blend and manipulate it before setting.

swatchfestThis comes in 5 colors (for now), Blonde, Auburn, Chocolate (pictured in this review), Dark Brown and Ebony. It retails for $18.00 usd.

I recommend trying on a color before purchase, I ended up buying Chocolate which is not what I would have ordered online. It is warmer than I’m used to wearing, but not enough that it really matters. I am in love with how my brows look with this product!!!

Anastasia

Normally I do my brows with a pencil, go over it with an eyeshadow and glue them down with Clear Great Lash. The Dipbrow is actually easier and faster for me. It takes the smallest amount of product, literally one gentle “dip” into the pot for each brow. I feel like this is going to last me forever, much longer than a pencil and shadow.

If you’re still not sold, do the math on your brow routine, you might be surprised! The cost of my old brow routine comes up to $16.23 (I set my brows with a color from my UD Naked palette). This product can also be used as eyeliner, which makes it even more cost effective!

100D3100258I wore this all day, and then simulated rain, patted my face dry and they didn’t budge. I have dry skin, and I don’t sweat very much. Your results may vary!

I am proud to declare this my first ever Holy Grail product. It applies easily, blends to a nice natural looking brow, and wears all day (I have worn this for 10+ hours).

This product is worth all the hype!

Things to note:
There is a learning curve with this product.
The colors trend warm.
Blending with a spoolie is important for a natural look.

I hope this review was helpful to you!

  1. Fab review lovely! Ugh I definitely need this in my life asap! I will have to order it im my next order 😉 your brows look amazing with this!

  2. Looks fantastic, my brows are so thin and were never shaped correctly (I shaped them when I first plucked back in high school and they’ve stayed that was ever since) I wish they would grow back so I could get nice brows like yours!

    1. I never plucked my eyebrows when I was young, but I was blessed with a pretty decent natural brow shape.

I’ve only been trimming and plucking for about a year now.

  3. Your brows always look so fantastic! Do you hand “paint” them or use a stencil; they’re just soooo perfect! I love that you simulated weather conditions; it really gives your readers a better / realistic idea of the products durability. Great review!

  4. You know this does look great! And it has a good stay in place time and it can also be used as eyeliner??? Omg ! Great product, right here 🙂 Yeah it will probably last you half a year at least
