Halloween 2014: Spun Sugar Mummy Manicure

Halloween, Manicures

I was going to save this for next week, but I can’t…I’m too in love with this to not post right away.

I looked through so many pictures of this kind of nail art, trying to figure out which method I wanted to use to get the mummy effect. I was going to use a fan brush, then a regular brush and draw them on. Then I remembered the spun sugar nail art that went around a while back, I never got around to trying it out….until now!
Spun Sugar MummiesThis method was perfect for this and turned out amazing. My favorite is the little pinky guy there, so cute!

This is super easy to do and you honestly cannot mess this up. I did top coat mine, so it lost the texture of “spun sugar” but I got the erratic lines that I was looking for. You can always opt out of top coat, but I just can’t go naked like that!! Click here to be taken to a tutorial on Spun Sugar Nail Art by All Lacquered Up!
