Manicure: Toasted Marshmallow Gradient French Tip

Manicures, Ombre / Gradient

Toasted Marshmallow EssieI changed my polish again, and before my other mani started to look like crap…how about that. I get a good long wear time out of Essie polish and Seche Vite Top coat.

I wanted something easy and clean before I started in with the Halloween nail art, and even though I’m not quite sure how I feel about my nude/taupe color, husband thought it was great.

I laid down a thick base coat of Sand Tropez, once dry I used the sponge with both colors (see above) and gently applied to the tips until the white was as opaque as I wanted.

I was planning on adding some China Glaze Fairy Dust to this, but my bottle has gotten thick and I don’t have any thinner. However it turned out pretty great without it. I love how soft the french tip effect is with this! The nude color is a bit cool to be toasted marshmallows, but for some reason it’s all I can think of when I look at them. Perhaps I’m just hungry!

XOXO

Manicure: Cloudy Skies Dot Fall

Dot, Manicures

Cloudy Skies Dot 2I finally did my nails!!! Amazing, I know… I went probably more than a month with naked nails, and they really needed a break. I picked something easy, and for me that’s dots. I’m a big fan of dot fall manicures, since you can’t really mess them up. Placement is totally random and can overlap, so if you struggle with straight dots, try this!

Hopefully in the coming weeks I can find the patience to do some Halloween nail posts, perhaps maybe even a Halloween pedicure if hubs feels up to painting little eyeballs on my toes (he’s been so sweet, he’s already done my toes once).… cause I can’t reach them!!!!!!

I hope this post finds you all well!
